Arrow Exterminating Long Island 5K Championship

Long Islands Womens only race brings the best of the runners from Long Island to compete against each other. This race use to draw a lot of international interest as well with a decent prize purse, however over the years this has been reduced so now its just the Long Island Women to battle it out.

Of course the day was hot and humid, I have run this course three times before and its always the same.

I started out with Katie Dicamillo, we both were heading along at a good clip, however by the first mile I found that I was on my own, just following the lead cyclist again! I ended up running 16.40 which is a personal best on the roads.
